John Kasich was offered an opportunity to be Donald Trump’s running mate and run domestic and foreign policy, while Trump focused on “Making America Great Again,” according to the New York Times.
Donald Trump Jr made Kasich an offer to be “the most powerful vice president in history.”
Kasich has not endorsed Trump and has not stepped foot inside Quicken Loans Arena during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
The Times article says:
When Kasich’s adviser asked how this would be the case, Donald Jr. explained that his father’s vice president would be in charge of domestic and foreign policy.
Then what, the adviser asked, would Trump be in charge of?
“Making America great again” was the casual reply.
